Counting Down!!

The Holidays have been mad busy for me and I have of course neglected this forum for expressing myself.
So to bring you up to date:
I have been occupied with applicants to become Cherry18 girls. I think anyone to visits the school will be duly impressed. The chemistry at the school has been so great. Beautiful fun girls and well experienced in SL. You wont find a better group of girls in SL.
I have been working with our Headmistress on expanding and better promoting the voice chat escorts at Cherry18. We are working to make them more visible, accommodate there unique needs and still be true to our most loyal foundations and base. Integrating voice and text services can be a tricky problem. I have seen many clubs where the core constituency was voice chat shrivel and die or become so enmeshed in the drama that they have imploded. But before I get off on that soap box......
I have been getting a bit more involved in shows with Lightning Productions, back up singer or dancer and a couple of spotlight roles, Nicolette Larson for the Doobie Brothers Production and Marianne Faithful for the Rolling Stones. It has been great fun!! we have a Pink Floyd show on New Years Day so look it up.
Another of my closest and dearest friends is rebounding after some setback and is back more active in SL and I couldn't be happier.
The New Year is looking very bright!

Countdown-Clocks

Oh and the Cherry18 Mall is growing. if you want some very sweet and sexy things, check it out!

Another Weekend More Concerts, More Escorting

Big weekend with two great concerts by Lightning Productions.
I was a backup singer dancer along with Kenzia and Rhonda for the Cher concert

We then had a blow out Pink Floyd Production of The Wall" Concert Sunday Night.

Cherry18 celebrated the beginning of the weekend with another great Friday party.
You really should start your weekend there!

Another Day Another Concert

As I have mentioned before, I have been standing in with Lightning productions in some of their concerts. I was Nicolette Larson for the Doobie Brothers (I didn't get a picture as I was so afraid of crashing) and Saturday I was a backup dancer for ZZ Top.

we hosted this concert at Cherry18 and the turn out was great!!!
Everyone seemed to have a great time.
Next there is an upcoming Cher concert. I am looking forward to being a back up dancer/singer for this as all I have to do is coordinate the dance moves and have fun with the gang there.

What Do You Think?

Personally, I thought Gwyneth Paltrow was so good on the show and I love this version (even if it does suffer from a bit of auto tuning), but then I am a die hard Gleek.

Busy Beaver Again

So much has gone on at the school, I have again been neglecting this outlet of feelings.
Much is good. A bit of a stylish new look in the yard, with more improvements to come. The Cherry18 Mall is growing with new shops for your shopping pleasure.
The school itself has an even more positive vibe. There is a feeling of greater energy and fun that I am so pleased to see.
and.......I am performing with Lightning Productions tonight 6PM SLT. They actually have given me a more featured role this time out in their Doobie Brothers Production.
I'm portraying Nicolette Larson. Ive been shopping to try and get the look to be at least reasonably believable (like I needed another reason to go shopping).
All this and i haven't had much time to play in Photoshop and Gimp, but here are a couple things I've toyed with.

and something for a giggle....

Lolita Returns

The beloved Headmistress of Cherry18 returned to the land of pixels this weekend after a prolonged sabbatical recovering from some health problems and I could not have asked for a happier Halloween treat.
Still have much to catch up with her about, but things could not be looking brighter as with her oversight and hard work we can start some of the improvements to the Cherry18 experience we have discussed. So keep an eye on Cherry18!!

Lunatics

The word lunatic is borrowed from the Latin "lunacus", in turns stemming from "luna" (moon), which denotes the traditional link made in folklore between madness and the phases of the moon. This probably refers to the symptoms of cyclic mood disorders such as bipolar disorder or cyclothymia, the symptoms of which may also go through phases. As yet there is no evidence whatsoever for any causal link between phases of the moon and the progression of mood disorder symptoms.
I would add correlation has been observed in parts of Second Life this weekend.
The Drama Llamas seemed to be out in force this weekend.

On the plus side I did get a couple more pictures of my cute little Linden Home

and debuted as a backup singer for Pink Floyd!
I wasn't able to get pictures as I didn't want to risk crashing in the middle of the show. But still it was a great time.

A Couple of Things - Maybe Three

First went to another great Lighnting production show, his time the Beach Boys.

I always have fun going to one of there shows and so i was so pleased when one of my close friends from Cherry18 that has been a longstanding member of the Lighnting crew, Kenzia asked me if I would like to be part of the show :)
Okay all ill be doing is standing and dancing in the background (with a bit of flirting), but still as long as I don't fall off the stage, it will be a blast!
I debut my background dancer role this Saturday night in the Pink Floyd show at 6 PM SLT. Really great music and a group of the craziest nicest people you want to see in SL.

If you want something a bit more sensual, don't forget to check out the girls at Cherry18. we have added to are already smoking hot roster of girls, so stop in and get to know them, in any sense you feel up to *wink*.
Finally, I got the Linden Home location I have really wanted, in Elderglen. Now you may have noticed, I do not frequently praise Linden Lab. I'm not a basher either, preferring to let others handle those policy debates as a rule. However i will make an exception here. Elderglen is a simply lovely themed area and after overcoming a bit of brain deadness, I was able to get such a cute little home all for free as a premium member.
This is my cute little retreat.
I'll include a few more pictures later that will give you a better idea of what a nice job they have done in setting up this region.

Lastly, just when I think I couldn't love Glee anymore, the stir up the television and internet world with the racy photo shoot for GQ magazine.
Say whatever you will, but I say, Lea Michele, Dianna Agron, and Cory Monteith look hot!!
A few samples.

It has made me laugh with all the uproar from conservative groups, disclaiming the sexualization of teen girls in this photo shoot, but not one word from them when they have show the shower scenes of the boys on the air? Can you say double standard? How about hypocritical?
Some food for thought.

Ciao for now.

Nothing Special Except Pics of Moi

As usual, exceptionally busy with hiring girls for Cherry18 and haven't taken too many pictures lately so i took a little time to play.
I have added some kick ass speakers to my computer with a sub woofer and rocking the music now.
Before I go to another tangential, Bye!!

A New Favorite On Glee

I am so happy that Glee's second season is on! What is making it even better than last season (hard to believe right?) is that more of the cast members are getting a chance to shine. Tina, Mike, Satana are getting some well deserved attention and my newest favorite, Brittany!
This girl is an amazing dancer, nice singing voice and has some of the funniest lines.

"I'm pretty sure my cat's been reading my diary."

"So, Hairography. It works best when you pretend like you're getting tasered. So you just move your head around and pretend like you're spazzing and stuff. You guys, it's like cool epilepsy."

Mr. Schue: "Who can tell me what a ballad is?"
Brittany: "A male duck."
Later, as everyone picks names from a hat:
"I bet the duck's in the hat."

"Did you know that dolphins are just gay sharks?" (pause) "Yeah!"

"I've been here since first period. I had a cold and I took all my antibiotics at the same time and now ... I can't remember how to leave."

"People think I went on vacation, but actually I spent all summer lost in the sewers."

At the dentist:
"The room is like the one in the spaceship where I got probed."

Not Shopping

Yeah right!
Once a shopaholic always a shopaholic.
This simple little ensemble is a collection.
Top from Foxy Fashions, skirt from Sn@tch, shoes (a wonderful little find) from Revelation, hair by Truth.

Talk Like A Pirate

Sunday is Talk Like Pirate Day which we commemorated at Cherry18 at our Friday party.

I seriously have considered keeping the eyepatch full time, but how would it fit this outfit?

Another cover better than the original?

No disrespect to Shontelle, but I think this cover is better.

Am I a fan?
I so want her voice.

Rah, Rah, Rah!!

I had to show this off. The Second Life Cheer squad has the cutest cheer uniform based on the Cheerios uniform from Glee. where better to show it off than at the SL Cheer Squad Stadium.

I know I didn't crop it down, but i do love the wide screen views I have now.

Decisions, Decisions

With the demise of Emerald what viewer to use?
Do I trust the new Phoenix team, not 100%, but I give them the benefit of the doubt, for now, and they do have the LL blessings at present.
The Emergence viewer as far as i can tell was never meant to be more than a stop gap solution and now that Phoenix is up and running and will be hopefully maintained scrupulously, Emergence seems impractical.
I ran across the Ascent Viewer, which in the past had it's own share of problems with rumors of being a malicious viewer and so on, but apparently cleaned so it is now on the approved TPV list.
I have tested them both out and, at least for now, I am favoring the Ascent Viewer.
No having anything to to do with trust or any of that, it just seems to work a bit more reliably than Phoenix (bouncing boobs very inconsistent in Phoenix-if i can get them to work at all).
It looks and feels much like the old Emerald and the now Phoenix and i just want to be able to get my boobs to jiggle if I want.

I took these two pictures, one on the Phoenix the other on the Ascent and I cant see a quality difference.
So Emerald is dead. Long live Phoenix. Phox and Arabella are banished and rumored to be plotting on “Virtual World Web” and the world has continued spinning SL did not come to and end and the pixel world still revolves without their drama, stupidity and a bit of racism (If you listen to the recordings on Youtube you will hear that sneak out) and let us look for a brighter future (okay even I gagged on that last bit of Pollyannaish hype).
Better said regarding Emeraldgate, "Move along nothing to see here".
Ciao!!
P.S. In the pictures, the top is from Nyte & Day, the skirt is from Sn@tch(part of an outfit called Kick and Fling), the hair is from Truth and the shoes are from N-Core.

Requiem For My Old Computer

It had to happen just before the TGIF party but my trusty old Compaq gave it up and I needed a quick replacement.
Fortunately I had been planning on upgrading soon and had my eye on a new Gateway.
Now powered with 8 gigs of ram and 1TB hard drive I am racing through SL and browsing wonderfully fast. I am so pleased this machine is lean and Windows 7 seems like a treat after the nightmares of XP and Vista.

I had most everything of importance backed up on an external drive already so I lost very little in the demise of the Compaq.
This did leave me in a dilemma. Which viewer to use? I had planned on switching over to Emerald, but with Emerald in disgrace now ultimate demise of the Emerald viewer, I wasn't exactly sure where to go.
Imprudence worked quite nice, but I heard a rumor about the Emergence viewer. It appears to be a temporary viewer cleaned up a bit, by a former Emerald developer. It isn't on the approved 3rd party viewers yer but at least it isn't blacklisted either.
Ill be watching to see if the Phoenix viewer ever gets LL approval as a third party viewer. I can't say the team is worthy of a great deal of trust as it is made up, mostly of the former Emerald Team.
I may give it a try with a close eye on the news. I still have Imprudence to fall back on.

Some Sad Something Sweet

Okay, I have to confess. I am Gleek. No I am not able to shoot saliva out of my salivary glands impressive distances or the Wonder Twins pet space monkey. I am referring of course to my new found addiction to Glee.
No I find myself strongly identifying with Rachel (oh that I could sing so well), my heart so goes out to Artie.
If you can watch this and not get a tear in your eye, see a cardiologist immediately, because you have no heart!

(Tina and Mike's little dance isn't bad either)

Emerald Get's Spanked

More Drama in Second Life? Who would have expected that?
If you are a bit oblivious LL has removed Emerald from its list of authorized third party viewers.
Google Linden Labs+Emerald and you can get as much information as you wish.
Myself I have been a Kirstens viewer user for a long time now and look forward to moving up to the improved viewers she has put out once I FINALLY get my computer upgrade. I may play again with Imprudence but until my graphics card is upgraded, I am stuck with the older Kirstens.
I personally have no stake in all the drama, I just find it fascinating. If you want to read more about it check alphavilleherald.com or

or right to the source http://blogs.secondlife.com/community/features/blog/2010/08/24/malicious-viewers-and-our-third-party-viewer-policy

A COUPLE OF NICE FINDS

I was a bit restless the other day so I decided to explore some peoples picks in there profiles (and not just for clothing!) and I ran across a couple of places that tickled my fancy.
The first was DarkDharma Avatar Isle

Some very cool and unusual avatar choices for those creatively minded and in a nice layout worh a walk around. They even have a gift box with some cool little toys in it. Yay!

Speaking of toys, next, I was happy to find Gypsy Gadgets, Gypsy Falls (186, 49, 22)
Some uber cool toys.

This is a very very evil place for an impulse shopper like myself and now I'm stuck trying to find places for a number of gadgets I found there. If you have been to gadget shops before and found them so incredibly laggy to the poing of frustrating you to tears, this is a pleasant exception. Because of lean design and a lot of space that is economically yet beautifully designed, I noticed little to no lag. Check it out!
On the Cherry18 front, our headmistress is back in action and working hard to make Cherry18 even better (hard to believe yes but true).
We are trying some new things adding a few attractions for the girls and guests to play with and of course we are tackling the notorious lag monster.
So Stop on in :)

And by the way, If you notice my last picture....Ivey Deschanel must be evil! Her shop Sn@tch makes my lindens disappear so rapidly!! No the clothing is not that expensive, in fact it it very resonably priced and she gives you so many options, it is irresistable.
So remember Decadent Designs, Danika Design and Sn@tch this week!!!

Ruffles and Frills

I have gotten so much attention for my recent move to short hair and cries of protest when I have tried to sneakk my longer back in occasionally, I needed some wardrobe additions.
I found this pretty little thing at -+-Rabbit*Kiss-+-

It's a bit more conservative and frilly than I usually wear, but I do so love the textures and flow. it even holds up reasonably well while sitting.

CHECK THIS OUT

If you have not seen the movie Mulholland Drive - by David Lynch, you MUST.
This movie is mesmorizing, will twist your mind and challenge any preconceptions you have about a "plot".

So challenge your mind a bit and move beyond the mundane bilge that Hollywood feeds the mindless masses. You will not be disappointed.

IT'S FUN BEING GREEDY

Okay well I should say it's fun PLAYING greedy.
This table game has got me so addicted. If you haven't played it yet, beware, you will be pestering your friends to pay all the time!!!
I set up a table temporarily at the school....

for a bit of fun (and to entice a few more players when I have a Greedy urge).

We have been busy busy at the school and we are working on some very exciting plans on improving our already awesome corner of SL. So swing on by and check us out!

It Has Been Too Long

And my apologies for being the neglectful blogger.
As was suggested quite a while ago I have made a couple of side SL trips

First a stop at GOP headquarters (I couldn't resist popping in there)

Then I was curious about this model of the battleship Yamamota Ravik referred me to so I Made a visit there. This is a very impressive bit of SL artistry.

The scale of this work is so impressive it's worth a tour

Then in the interest of greater exploration I visited the lunar lander

Lastly but certainly not least I had to take a peek at a dear friends latest creation. If you are looking for a castle that is sure to stun your guests check out the Castle of Fortitude. I was overwhelmed by the scale and detail of this work (even already knowing the builder is an incredible artist)

The teenie speck by the doors, is me, to give you some idea of the scale of this thing.
It is available on SLX
https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Marketplace&file=item&ItemID=2408652

But I believe you really must visit it and tour it to really appreciate what a work of art this is
http://slurl.com/secondlife/Rampart%20Castles/124/230/34/?title=Rampart%20Castles&msg=Fine%20castle%20makers%20since%201307

A that will give you a little bit to go on. Again my apologies

Just Catching Up On Some Reading

I am still around just been busy.
